I took a little break in the last few days in my reading challenge to get caught up on some fan fiction. I am happy to say that I did finally get caught up on one author, but still have about 4 others that I follow closely to work on. It was a nice change of pace and I miss my Brian/Justin stories after a while.

So I've been busy reading, So far I've read 31 out of 100 books for the reading challenge this year over at Goodreads. I am behind where I was last year at this time. To many things going on in rl that have my attention.

My to be read pile really has not dwindled at all. It seems I no sooner remove a few from that pile, that I'm adding more to it.

This list is my wish list, and I use it as such. I enjoy sharing my love of books with everyone. Please check out the publishers I have listed here and look around. There are some really fantastic authors out there. I can't list all my favorites, so go explore, have fun and enjoy. And please if you find some thing that you like and download it, Don't file share. Point your friends in the direction of where you bought the book from. Lets support our authors by buying their books out right.

Some of the books that I have read in the last few weeks that I really enjoyed have been

Nothing Ever Happens by Sue Brown. I wasn't sure if I was going to like this one after I read the blurb, so it took me a while to start it. It took me a while to get into the story, but once I did I enjoyed it a lot.

I've been chatting with The maintainer or a site called Fanfic.me over on Twitter, She runs a fanfic website Fanfic.me I was explaining to her that I read most of my QAF fanfic here at LJ. I checked and they don't have any QAF fiction on their site. Her reply to me was that they would love to have some QAF fiction there.



I found them through This article found in this weeks Entertainment Weekly which I subscribe to on my Nook. Of course I read it as soon as I saw the words Fan Fiction.

It would be great to see some stories there from our little corner of fandom that is QAF. So go check it out. There is a vast archive of many different fandoms there.

I am adding fanfiction to Calibre. I have Cyn's Family Series in pdf format and ready to convert it into epub for my Nook. But I need to know the correct order for tagging and proper numbering for the series.

I have Family Affair as the third story in the series, Then Thicker as 3a a little snippet possibly. Where does 4 years 9 months fall into the series if it is part of the series. When I downloaded it from GIT there was no number next to it.

Over the last few days I've tried to purchase numerous books, only to find that they are only available on Amazon. I happen to own a Nook. You would think that authors would want their work to be available to everyone, not just one group of buyers.

It truly turns me off from certain authors who do this. Amazon is not the only book seller out there. Unfortunately these authors have lost my business permanently. I know that I am just one person and they really don't care, others will buy their books. The fact that in order to read your book, I have to buy a certain product or be chained to my computer to read it pisses me off.

You all know that I love to read. I completed my 2011 challenge for myself to read 100 books last year. I read 101. I actually read more than that, but you can't add fan fiction.

I know that there are a lot of you on my friends list that have a account over at Goodreads. I have set my goal once again to 100 books for the 2012 challenge. I hope that you will join me this year in challenging yourselves.


I now have the complete trilogy of the last three Eve Duncan series by Iris Johansen. I haven't started it yet but am looking forward to it. I have accumulated quite a few free reads from B&N also. It is surprising how much you can find when you skim through the pages of B&N. There are a lot of .99 cent books.

I will be adding a wide verity of books to my TBB list this time around. I have not had a chance yet to compile a new Wishlist but hopefully will be able to get to it this week.

In the meantime Happy Reading everyone.

Ray brought home a new puppy the other day. She is another Cocker Spaniel. Freckles is in 7th heaven. She has someone who will actually play with her. I'm not so sure I'm happy about the new addition yet. She is going to have to grow on me.

Her name is Cinnamon Cindy for short.

So Apparently I have lost my phone. I had to suspend my service last night. My daughters fiance(she became engaged on Christmas Day) had a brand new phone just like mine that he never took out of the box. They were able to activate it with my phone #.

So my question to all of you is if I had your phone for any reason. Especially you have bought Avon from me at any time. And I needed to talk to you or you to me. Could you please PM me or comment in this post with your # so I can add it to my new phone. Thank you all so much.

Okay now this is just ridiculous. I love Jayne Ann Krentz books and have read many of them over the years. I saw one that I haven't read yet over at Goodreads, so I decided to check it out.

Are they serious about the pricing, because there is no way I would pay 12.99 for a ebook, when I can get it for 7.99 in paperback. I think that some of these big publishers have truly gotten very greedy.

I have been really bad lately about posting. Mom is here and we have been busy visiting. She has slowed down a lot though. The Chemo that she underwent really tired her out and she has no pick up and go anymore. So we have been just staying home and talking. Hopefully I will be up more often after the holidays.

I have TSC icons to post. Hopefully I will get those up soon. Kick me in the pants every once in a while and remind me I have things I need to be doing.
