Over the last few days I've tried to purchase numerous books, only to find that they are only available on Amazon. I happen to own a Nook. You would think that authors would want their work to be available to everyone, not just one group of buyers.

It truly turns me off from certain authors who do this. Amazon is not the only book seller out there. Unfortunately these authors have lost my business permanently. I know that I am just one person and they really don't care, others will buy their books. The fact that in order to read your book, I have to buy a certain product or be chained to my computer to read it pisses me off.

You all know that I love to read. I completed my 2011 challenge for myself to read 100 books last year. I read 101. I actually read more than that, but you can't add fan fiction.

I know that there are a lot of you on my friends list that have a account over at Goodreads. I have set my goal once again to 100 books for the 2012 challenge. I hope that you will join me this year in challenging yourselves.


I now have the complete trilogy of the last three Eve Duncan series by Iris Johansen. I haven't started it yet but am looking forward to it. I have accumulated quite a few free reads from B&N also. It is surprising how much you can find when you skim through the pages of B&N. There are a lot of .99 cent books.

I will be adding a wide verity of books to my TBB list this time around. I have not had a chance yet to compile a new Wishlist but hopefully will be able to get to it this week.

In the meantime Happy Reading everyone.

Ray brought home a new puppy the other day. She is another Cocker Spaniel. Freckles is in 7th heaven. She has someone who will actually play with her. I'm not so sure I'm happy about the new addition yet. She is going to have to grow on me.

Her name is Cinnamon Cindy for short.

So Apparently I have lost my phone. I had to suspend my service last night. My daughters fiance(she became engaged on Christmas Day) had a brand new phone just like mine that he never took out of the box. They were able to activate it with my phone #.

So my question to all of you is if I had your phone for any reason. Especially you have bought Avon from me at any time. And I needed to talk to you or you to me. Could you please PM me or comment in this post with your # so I can add it to my new phone. Thank you all so much.

Okay now this is just ridiculous. I love Jayne Ann Krentz books and have read many of them over the years. I saw one that I haven't read yet over at Goodreads, so I decided to check it out.

Are they serious about the pricing, because there is no way I would pay 12.99 for a ebook, when I can get it for 7.99 in paperback. I think that some of these big publishers have truly gotten very greedy.

I have been really bad lately about posting. Mom is here and we have been busy visiting. She has slowed down a lot though. The Chemo that she underwent really tired her out and she has no pick up and go anymore. So we have been just staying home and talking. Hopefully I will be up more often after the holidays.

I have TSC icons to post. Hopefully I will get those up soon. Kick me in the pants every once in a while and remind me I have things I need to be doing.

Hi Everyone. It's been a busy couple weeks. Ray got me a Nook Color for my birthday last month and I have been slowly adding my Fanfiction and other books that I've purchased over the years. I've been buying E-Books since 2006 so I have quite a collection to go through and decide figure out what I want to add and what I want to wait to add.

Now that the kids are in school and I have some time to my self, I find that I have more time to read and I am loving it. In the last month I've read quite a few books.

Sold To The Highest Bidder by Donna Alward This was a free e-book over at B&N for a while. I really enjoyed it. Surprisingly this one is not M/M. It was good though and the price was right.

Nine Tenths of the Law by L.A. Witt. Once again this book was free through B&N. This one was okay. Written in 1st person. Not one of my favorite ways to read a book.

In Service by J.C. Natal. and In Noble Pursuit A very good series, but has some graphic violence. I enjoyed this one a lot. I would definitely re-read these. In Service is not available in epub format at the publishers website but I bought both books at B&N.

Guarding Morgan by RJ Scott. This is book 1 in the Sanctuary series. I loved it. I must confess that the cover was a big drawl for me. Lol....What can I say I'm a cover whore. RJ Scott has not disappointed me yet.

A Shared Range and A Troubled Range both by Andrew Grey. This is another author that I enjoy reading a lot. and he did not disappoint me with these two books.

Belonging To Them, Plays Well With Others and Fill Her Up by Brynn Paulin, are all Multiple Partner stories, I wasn't sure I would like them but I was pleasantly surprised.

This is just the books, I've read in the last maybe 4 weeks. I've been re-reading some fan fiction too. I find myself always re-reading Rizabeau's Songs in the Key of Love & Sugar Plum Fairies series around this time of year. Maybe it has something to do with Moose and the holidays. :)

If you've been around on my friends list for many years, you know that my mother is a 2 time survivor of Breast Cancer. You also know how hard it is and was for me to be separated from my mother when she was going through her surgery, and chemo treatments.

I seem to be prone to cyst on my breast, and must have the annual mammogram every year. I am putting out a plea to everyone on my friends list. Men are not immune to this disease. Ray and I have a very good friend who just underwent breast cancer surgery this past summer. He was diagnosed this past spring. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! check your self regularly, Get in the habit of checking your self once a month.

THE LIFE YOU SAVE COULD BE YOUR OWN!!!
